From June 2011:
I attended a small convention for bassists, being an amateur bassist myself. It was a chance for local musicians to meet and check each other’s instruments out, exchange ideas, and so forth. One of the special guests was solo bassist Aram Bedrosian, who traveled in from Vermont to play a few songs for us and explain some of his technique and musical ideas. I had my Minolta Autocord with me loaded with Kodak 400TriX film and took a few shots. The light was low but I made do and after cropping the photos to portraits and then toning the prints with selenium and sepia, I produced a few images. One of the photos shows the five-string bass that was given away in a drawing, and the gentleman to the right is the luthier who had just finished building it.
